A mother loses her job, a father is kept from working by an injury, a family is forced from their home by fire or natural disaster. These are the reasons why families now make up 40 percent of the homeless population, and why one out of every four homeless people is a child.
Family Promise of White County
At Family Promise of White County, we are committed to helping homeless families of the surrounding area to achieve sustainable independence.
We do this by providing safe shelter, meals, day care and support services for these families. We also partner with programs designed to redress the underlying causes of homelessness.
North East Georgia has a severe homeless problem that must be addressed. These people need our help, and we will continue to be there for them.
Thanks to Mitch Simpson, who leased us our new DAY CENTER. Much has been accomplished by many who have graciously volunteered their time and resources. If you can help, please get involved and lend a hand. To learn how you can help, contact Anna or Jesse via email. You’ll find their email addresses on our Contact page.
Thank you to everyone for helping, and may God richly reward you ALL.
